This Summer Enrichment Experience offers high school students an opportunity to simulate a Supreme Court case. The student lawyers will learn basic concepts in First Amendment law and how to apply them to the facts of a fictitious case. This rigorous two-week summer camp will provide hands on instruction in legal research, writing, and public speaking skills. At the end of the course, the students will have the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in an oral argument on a field trip to the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law. The students will also have a field trip to the Supreme Court and the Library of Congress in DC.
